Advent & Christmas 2024

All are welcome to join us for our Advent and Christmas Worship Services. Each Sunday we light another candle on our Advent wreath and bless part of our holiday Nativity. Watch the progression of the magi and other attendees as they make their way down the side window sills to the manger.

We are community and we welcome our neighbors as we prepare for Christmas and the birth of our Savior. 

 Holy Communion is offered to all who believe in Jesus Christ, who confess their sins, and seek forgiveness. For those who are able, an usher instructs the congregation when to come forward using the center aisle; please return to your pew using the side aisles. Wine, juice (white), and gluten-free wafers are available. Please alert an usher if you require assistance so communion can be brought to you. 

Saint Michael Lutheran Church hosts its annual Dutch Fork/Lake Murray Community Christmas Eve candlelight worship at the historic church located at 400 River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The church is near the Pine Island recreation area and just three minutes from the Lake Murray Dam.

The  4 pm service is a joyous one celebrating the lessons and carols telling the story of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus. Candles will be lit before the end of the service. All are welcome.

The talented Thomas family will be playing a special string instrument mini concert of seasonal music beginning at 3:30 pm. We are so thankful for the gift of their music to brighten our worship service.
